Did You Know?
"Milsim", what is it?
A. "Milsim" or "Military Simulation" refers to live-acted simulation of armed conflict scenarios conducted by civilians for entertainment, sporting, or nostalgic purposes. It has been described as both a form of "extreme sport" and as historical reenactment. There can be many forms of Milsim including virtual!
Do you only do operations and serious stuff?
A. No, We have a plethora of other events, such as trainings that teach new skills, movie and game nights and much more!
Do you require people to be fully in-character?
A. Yes and no. We highly recommend you immerse yourself in our universe as best you can, full members will create characters, we truly look to see people act out their characters as they created them... we want people who can take things seriously and not ruin others experience. We understand it's not all possible all the time.
Do I need to join the ranks to just hang out?
A. Absolutely not, we have stages of membership for everyone's liking. Stage [1], you are apart of the ranks but can not participate fully in some events, and can not gain rank and awards. Stage [2], is full participation with character creation, with rank and rewards!
Can I record, take photos or spectate?
A. Yes! Matter of fact, we highly encourage it! Even if you are not participating we have a spectator model for anyone to use. (Or slot for Arma3 players. / Screenshare) Be warned though, interfering with members during an official event could get you removed from said event.
Are you an RP group?
A. Yes and No. We are a MilSim community at it's core. We take things seriously in events, although we still use characters as an "RP group" would, this small portion is heavily outweighed by the other things we focus on. Characters in our community are to give those seeking a deeper feeling within a lore and story. With everything else we do, the RP part has really turned into more of a minor "acting" role if anything.
Are you the same as ▁▁▁ group or ▁▁▁ this group?
A. No. Although we might share similarities to other communities, we are unique in our own way, along with those community's as well. We ask that you respect our image along with those others groups as well.
Do members get their own avatars/models?
A. Yes. Members get to customize and receive their own models to keep during there career with RJPF. This also depends on your service record, made bio & MOS as well.
Do you support Quest?
A. No. RJPF's events/avatars are not Quest-Standalone supported. You can however, play with a Link-Cable or in a Desktop-Capable position. We do NOT plan on making a splinter community or anything of the such.
Can I host my own event or training?
A. Yes! Although one needs to be within the ranks to do so, just contact an NCO and we can help you get your event official and ready to go!
Can I make stuff for the community?
A. We are always looking for more people with the skills in Blender, Unity, and Arma3 editor. Contact an admin if you are interested in joining our development team!
